RECENT SERVICE EVENTS:
VISION AND HEARING SCREENINGS FOR LOCAL STUDENTS
The Burleson Lions Club's largest annual service project, Vision & Hearing Screenings, occurred in October and November for 2024. About 4,500 chidren were screened for both vision and hearing issues. Over 600 vision referrals for follow up care were made. Screenings are held every year for Burleson ISD, Keene ISD, and other Burleson area children. This year we performed screenings at 17 different locations. It takes multiple Lions to accomplish our yearly task of helping around 4,500 children!! Many thanks to all the volunteers that contributed to this worthy endeavor!!! We volunteered over 600 hours of work to make this happen.
This annual community service is a key focus for the Burleson Lions in skupport of our overall commitment to serve the Burleson area. Our support is also a key assist to school nurses in meeting the Texas state requirements for vision and hearing screenings.
If you know a private school, homeschool, or other Burleson Area group that needs help with vision and hearing screening, please contact the Burleson Lions (email@burlesonlions.org). We are happy to help if we can. WE SERVE.

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is an avenue in which the Burleson Lions Club shares with our community. Each week one or more of our members partners with Meals on Wheels to provide a meal to members of our community and at the same time makes contact with these people for whom it is more difficult to be out and about. Lions Bill and Gloria Ayars are shown here delivering a meal.
